Collaborating for Better Bone Health: MyBONe Conference Highlights 2026

It was an absolute privilege and a deep personal honor to present on the international stage at the recently concluded 5th Fragility Fracture Network of Malaysia (FFNM) & 1st Malaysian Bone-Health Optimization Network (MyBONe) Annual Scientific Meeting 2026.

Hosted over the weekend at the M World Hospital in Petaling Jaya, this year’s congress centered around a powerful and timely theme: “Beyond Fragility: Optimizing Bone Health, Healing and Recovery.”

Tackling Osteoporosis in an Ageing Population

As Malaysia experiences a shifting demographic profile toward an ageing population, addressing bone health, preventing fragility fractures, and managing osteoporosis have never been more critical.

During the event, I had the wonderful opportunity to share clinical insights and collaborate with a broad spectrum of the multidisciplinary medical fraternity. From dedicated nurses and geriatricians to fellow orthopaedic surgeons, it is clear that safeguarding our seniors’ mobility requires a unified, team-based approach.

Moving Forward Together

True progress in orthopaedics and bone health optimization happens when we bridge clinical expertise, share cutting-edge evidence, and support one another in daily practice. Events like FFNM and MyBONe remind us why we do what we do—to help our patients heal better, recover faster, and maintain active, independent lives well into their later years.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, fellow speakers, and all attendees who made this weekend an overwhelming success. Let’s continue building stronger bones and brighter futures for our community!
